Hey friends, It’s Staci from The Potter’s Place.  As I was looking over the fabrics here at The Ribbon Retreat my eye and my heart needed this big red polka dot fabric.  I pondered what I could make and I knew I had to have 4th of July pillows for my couch.

I love to trade out the pillows on my couch for almost every holiday and season but I hate storing a lot of pillows.  I make these envelope pillow covers and reuse the same pillows.  That way I don’t have to store several pillows, just the covers.

These are so easy to make.  I started out with 2 fat quarters of each fabric the big red polka dots and the blue stars.  So fitting for the 4th of July!!!

I am using a 14in X 14in pillow so my fabric measurements will be 14.5in X 14.5in and (2) 14.5in X 9.5in.

First, hem up one side of the two 9.5in sides {this will be the back of the pillow where it makes an envelope}.

Next, put it all together with right sides together and sew it up.

Turn it over and ENJOY!

I am so grateful for the many men and women who serve for our freedom.

These pillow covers are genius, so simple, so fast and plain awesome! With this easy method, you can create fun pillow covers for every holiday, season, special event, or whatever your decorating diva-ness can imagine. Quickly slip these covers over your current pillows and create a whole new look for your room. Now that is amazing! Thank you Staci for sharing these fun Patriotic Pillow Covers. For more crafty goodness, make sure to head over to The Potter’s Place and tell Staci hello!

Decorative pillows are a great way to add holiday flair and personality to your room. Take a peek at these other pleasantly plump pillows that are also super easy to make and will dress up your couches or chairs in minutes…
