Welcome to our August Link Party!!
Our link parties are a fun way for you to show off your bow making and craft skills.
We love to see what our customers are up to!
This month our theme is “Show Us What’s New!”
We’d love to see what you’ve been working on and what’s new in your shop or your latest craft. It can also be a project with your new favorite ribbon, fabric, or product from The Ribbon Retreat.
Our only requirement is your submissions must have products that are available at The Ribbon Retreat.
Shall we make it more fun? How about some prizes!? 🙂
We will choose 10 submissions to put on our Facebook page where all of our fans can “like” them. The top three submissions will receive prizes.
1st Place: $30 Gift Certificate
2nd Place: $20 Gift Certificate
3rd Place: $15 Gift Certificate
to The Ribbon Retreat!
– To win, you must be an email subscriber to The Ribbon Retreat Blog.
(If you’re not, subscribe by entering your email address on the sidebar.)
– Link up as many bows or crafts you’d like as long as it uses supplies
you can find at The Ribbon Retreat and fit with our theme.
Also to make it easy for us and others to see your link please link to your bow or craft and not just your shop or Facebook page. You never know, someone may want to buy it, but can’t find it! 🙂
You can submit your links until Saturday, August 11th, at midnight. Voting will begin on Monday, August 13th at 9 am MST and end Friday, August 17th, at midnight. Winners will be announced on Saturday, August 18th.
Some tips on linking:
If you do not have a blog or website to take photos from, the link system will allow you to add photos from a photo hosting website such as Photobucket or Flickr. Just click the middle tab when the pop up box comes up and add the URL for that photo.
Linking from Facebook will work as long as you take the off the https:// at the beginning of the link. Then you will need to choose a photo from your computer (the very right tab in the pop up window.) Let me know if this isn’t working for you.
The “Name” part can either be your name, or the name of your craft. Either one works!
I just wanted to let you know so you’re not like me and put your own name when you mean to have a name for the craft. 🙂
After you’ve linked up your craft, make sure your link works. If you are having troubles with it, send me an email at shirley@theribbonretreat.com.
Good Luck!
