Bag Lady Series!

Bag Lady Series! - The Ribbon Retreat BlogWelcome all you Bag Ladies to an amazing, fun and Bag-alicious series that is all about BAGS!

In August we held our first series that was all about Snails and Puppy Dog Tails…aka…BOYS! It was so fun to celebrate the boys in our lives and to see the innovative projects made just for them. However, sssshhhhhhh…they don’t know this but all of the projects we made for our boys are also perfect for the little ladies in our lives as well.
So, since August was all for the kiddos…January is all for YOU!

This month we are going to be having bag project after bag project, by some incredibly talented Contributors, and let me tell you, there are going to be some crazy cool bags perfect to keep all to yourself or to create as great gifts for sisters, mothers, daughters or friends. It’s going to be a bag party, and you are invited.
Bring your friends…all of them, and let’s celebrate bags.

As cool as all of this is, I can’t even wait to tell you the best part…at the end of the month, we will be holding a one of a kind giveaway, where we are going to be giving away fabric from the AMAZINGLY talented pattern and fabric designer
Kati Cupcake.

We will be giving away an assortment of her brand new fabric line that won’t even be released for sale yet. That is right…the winner of our giveaway will be the 1st one to get their hands on this brand new…BRAND NEW fabric right from Kati Cupcake herself. I cannot tell you how exciting this is! How do you enter? Check in everyday to see our bag project for the day, link up the bag you create at the end of the month in our FABulous Bag Lady link party, and make sure to enter this amazing giveaway on Monday, January 27th.

Now…let the party begin. Every Monday, this month, we will be sewing an amazing bag together and here is how we are going to do it…:
-Week 1 we are going to talk about picking a bag pattern that is perfect for you and the supplies you will need to create your very own bag. The Ribbon Retreat has an awesome selection of bag and tote patterns for you to check out and find the one just for you! I will also tell you about the bag pattern I have picked…oh man, it is so SO cute! I will give you a couple of hints…it is one of Kati Cupcake’s new patterns and it starts with Carry. 🙂

-Week 2 we will cut out our pattern pieces and prepare to create our bags.

-Week 3 we will sew our bags! Wahooo…

-And finally week 4 our AMAZING Bag Lady Giveaway will begin! AND…week 4 will also be our bag show and tell week. Come and link up all of the FABulous bags you have created, in our fun filled bag link party! I can’t wait to see all of your creations…AND 5 of the bags that are linked up will actually be featured in our “FAB Creations By You”…AND if your bag is one of the 5 chosen to be featured…there will be a prize just for you!!!!
Wink, wink!

So…remember to come back and visit every day this month to check out all of our amazing bags AND on Monday, January 27th put a reminder on your calendar to enter our giveaway for Kati Cupcake’s BRAND New fabric! Also, make sure to link up your bags at our link party for your chance to be featured on our blog and to receive a sweet little gift!

It is going to be a grrrrrrrrrrrreat month. Can’t wait to see you back here tomorrow!
