Be Mine Bow

Valentine’s Day is on it’s way!

The Ribbon Retreat has lots of fun Valentine’s Day Ribbon to decorate with.

Here are just SOME of my favorites:

LOVE

SMOOCHES

HEART CAMO

And the one I used for today’s bow

CONVERSATION HEARTS

Be Mine Bow - {The Ribbon Retreat Blog}

For this bow I used four different techniques.

As the base, I used Light Pink Solid Grosgrain in 1 1/2″ to make a Basic Boutique bow.

For the next layer, I used Shocking Pink/White Swiss Dots Ribbon in 3/8″ to make a Surround A Bow.

I used the Conversation Hearts Ribbon in 7/8″ to make a Twisted Boutique bow. I learned today that I really need to practice this technique! I did it with the bow maker.

Next, I used Dark Orchid/White Swiss Dots Ribbon to make a Two Loop Topper bow.

I lined my clip with the Shocking Pink/White Swiss Dots Ribbon in 3/8″.

Then I combined all the bows and put my needle and thread through all of them and tightened. I centered the bow with a knot using Light Pink Solid Grosgrain Ribbon in 3/8″.

All done!

I have lots more bows coming up using more Valentine’s Day Ribbon.

Are there any techniques that you would like to see?

What is your favorite bow to make?
