Do you love bows? Here at The Ribbon Retreat, we love bows! We love ribbon, tulle, and anything we can make a bow with. Because of this love, today’s post is all about BOWS past and present.
For me, bows were never a necessity since I did not have a little girl to enjoy them on. But, ever since I had my little sweetie I have grown to appreciate the absolute cuteness bows add! I love how you can make the same bow several times, and they all come out different with a little change-up in ribbon. Whether the bow you love is made with Valentine’s, Christmas, St. Patty’s Day, or Easter ribbon…you can always change it up to create the perfect bow for any occasion! Bows are so versatile and the perfect accessory.
I have multiple ribbons that I love to use, but my favorites are The Ribbon Retreat’s Chevron, Striped, Dotted, and of course Holiday. What is your favorite ribbon to use? While you are thinking about your favorite ribbon designs, check out all of these amazing bows brought to you by our WONDERFULLY talented Contributors.
Never before have we put all of our FABulous bows in one spot. There is every bow from Christmas to Itty Bitty Baby bows in this fantastic post. This is so exciting, and we hope you enjoy!

I LOVE this post! I want to sit down and just start making bows until I’ve made them all, LOL. Granddaughters need a new stash, so I’d better find the time. Thanks for all the tutorials.
How did you know I’d just got in a stash of over 400 yards? LOL – thanks for putting them all together!
I’m new to bow making but REALLY LOVE making beautiful bows foe my 2 granddaughters ( 12 & 7 ) for them to wear especially at Dance Class. The problem is the bows keep falling out during all that physical activity. I’m using a jaw clip & I even add a strip of that non-slip shelf lining material. Do you or anyone else have any ideas, possibly a STRONGER CLIP ?
Hi Linda! Thank you for sharing! I am so sorry that your bows are not staying in. Yes, you could definitely use a stronger clip. You could try using an Alligator Clip with teeth, French Barrette, Snap Clip, Fashion Hair Clip or a Slide Barrette. All of those I suggested have an actual closure that might help keep the bows in while your granddaughters are dancing. You can find all of the above clips and barrettes HERE! Good luck and thank you again! Michelle 🙂
