Burlap Bubble Wreath

As I have mentioned time and time again…I LOVE wreaths! I love to hang them on my front door to welcome all to my home sweet home! One thing I love so much about them is that they can look a million different ways. Some are covered in flowers, some in ribbon, some in tulle, some are subtle and some are screaming “Come celebrate with me!” because they are so big and beautiful and in your face! Hehe…those are my favorite! Today, Kaeleen is taking part in my obsession with these gorgeous decorations and sharing a beeeeautiful and full Burlap Bubble Wreath that is so easy to make and very fun to hang on your door, a mirror, or any place your little heart desires! Enjoy!

Hello Ribbon Retreat Readers! It’s Kaeleen here to share a fabulous wreath perfect for any occasion or time of year!

Let’s get started!

You will need:

Gather the end of the burlap together and pin it to the inside of your wreath form.

Measure 6-8 inches of burlap ribbon away from your pin (I used the distance between my pinky and thumb).

Gather the burlap together at that point.
Loop the burlap and pin it into the form at the gathered point.

Continue measuring, looping, and pinning the burlap around your wreath alternating pinning on the inside and outer edge of the form.

The burlap is easy to maneuver to hide pins and cover naked spots of the form.

From my first pin to my last pin, it only took me about 20 minutes to make!
It’s quick and easy. The pins are not permanent so you can reposition them around to get the perfect bubbled look.

When you’re back at the starting point, tuck your last pin around the back and cut off any excess burlap – I had about 12 inches leftover.

For a hanger – take a scrap of ribbon, fold it in half, and attach to wreath form. (I used 2 pins to attach it).
I used pins so I could change it out with the seasons/holidays.

Now it’s time to accessorize your wreath!

Decide how you want your flowers to look on your wreath, then hot glue them together. Glue them to felt circles and add a brooch pin (if you want to be able to change it out for different seasons/holidays), or just glue it directly onto your wreath.

Thank you Kaeleen! This wreath is so fun and I love the bubble look. Using safety pins is genius and a great way to be able to quickly fix and reform your wreath when needed! I also love how you used a brooch pin to attach your flowers to your wreath so they can be easily changed with the seasons or to be color coordinated to a special event happening at your home! I have the sweetest neighbor whose family absolutely loves NFL football and the Seattle Seahawks! I could totally see her deck a wreath out just like this one with flowers in that bright lime green and navy blue that the Seahawks wear on their uniforms. Fun idea right?!?
