When I saw my first butterfly fluttering around this Spring, I got so excited about Summer being right around the corner. Summer brings lots of lovely butterflies, summer break from school, and lots of adventures with family and friends! I can’t wait for trips to the park, late night football games in the front yard and everything else the season of sun and warmth brings to us all! Shirley is also looking forward to those Summer months and those gorgeous butterflies and so today, she is sharing the most adorable Butterfly Bow that will surprise you with it’s ease in creating and how perfect it will look attached to a headband or to cute pig tails on your little sweetie!

Supplies:

7/8″ ribbon
3/8″ ribbon
1/8″ ribbon
Lined Clip
Needle and Thread
Hot Glue Gun
Lighter

So cute right?!? I love how easy they are to make and how incredible they look in any print or color of ribbon. You can make them all different sizes by using different lengths of ribbon or different sizes of ribbon too to achieve a whole different look for your little or big butterfly! And for a completely different and unique look, try layering your favorite ribbons together! With all of these different possibilities and ideas, you can have a whole swarm of gorgeous bows all one of a kind!

    Love the butterfly hair bow. Looked for 1/8 inch grosgrain ribbon on your website and could not find any. Disappointed that I couldn’t buy all the supplies in one place to make the butterfly.:(

    Oh, what a fun change from a clippie-sized butterfly ribbon sculpture! I love that it can go up in size, too… how adorable it would be made from longer strips of 1.5-inch ribbon?! Thank you, Shirley! xoxo
