If you’re looking for a fun and easy Christmas craft, then you are in luck my friend!

The Ribbon Retreat has a great selection of buttons in a variety of colors and shapes.
And, let’s face it, buttons make everything cuter!

Today I’m sharing a Button Wreath Ornament Tutorial that you can easily make
with the Color Jars or the Color Blends buttons.

Once you make one you’ll want to make a whole tree full!

Button Wreath Ornament

~Supplies~

8″ length of 7/8″ Apple Green Solid Sheer Ribbon
1 Plantation Button Jar
10″ length of 20 Gauge Wire
Scissors
Fray Check
Wire Cutters
Needle Nose Pliers

Using your wire cutters cut your wire to 10″.

Bend one end into a loop using the needle nose pliers.

Then thread on those buttons!

You can thread the buttons onto the wire in a pattern or at random, like I did.

When you have about an inch an a half of wire left slide it through the loop.

Use the pliers to wrap the wire around the loop and create another loop.
Crimp the wire in place.

Cut your ribbon to 8″ and tie a small bow for decoration.
Seal the ends with your preferred method. With sheers I like to use Fray Check.

Use the wire loop to hang your new ornament.

You can also loop the ribbon and use that as a hanger, like my daughter did with hers.

This is such a fun project to do alone or with kids.
Think of all the different looks you could get using buttons in different colors and sizes!
