Christmas Ribbon Bunting

Hi, I’m Justine from the Sew Country Chick blog, and I’m happy to be sharing my Easy Christmas Ribbon Bunting tutorial with Ribbon Retreat readers! This is a fun, easy and quick project I made using ribbons from the Ribbon Retreat. This bunting would be cute hanging in a doorway or make a longer one to use as a garland around your Christmas tree!

I have to say it took awhile to figure out what to make as The Ribbon Retreat has so many pretty ribbons to choose from. I was like a kid in a candy store!

I made her that dress from an old ladies nightshirt!

Here is how to make the bunting:

Christmas Ribbon Bunting - The Ribbon Retreat BlogI green, white and emerald striped 1 1/2 inch wide grosgrain ribbon, green 2 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon, both from Ribbon Retreat, and some red 2 inch ribbon. I cut each ribbon 5 inches long.

I then folded each ribbon in half and pressed them to make a fold in the center. Once pressed shut, I cut little V’s in the ribbons.

Then I folded each ribbon over some baker’s twine and used the sewing machine to zig zag stitch over the ribbons, at the top, to secure them to the baker’s twine. This will keep them from shifting around. That’s it!
