Dad and Ryan both have stockings now.
See Mom’s on the Quilted Christmas Stocking post.
The hardest part to these stockings is the personalization of the names and the stitching around them. If you just wanted to iron on the fabric, it will save you about an hour. Without this, I would say making one of these would take about two hours. Not bad at all!
For Dad’s I used more fabric from 12 Days of Christmas by Kate Spain for Moda. For his name I used Bettys Red in Bella Solids for Moda. I stitched around the letters with green embroidery floss, but you can’t see it as well as the Mom stocking.
For Ryan’s I also used fabric from the 12 Days of Christmas by Kate Spain for Moda line. I also used green embroidery floss for the stitching, which you can hardly see. 🙂 I tried to quilt around the ornaments and found that following a pattern while quilting takes an extreme amount of talent!! I do NOT have that talent yet. So instead of quilting around the ornaments, I stuck with the meandering stitch. I LOVE the meandering stitch. 🙂
I used a cute font for Ryan’s name. The capital “A” for the font didn’t have an opening in the middle, so it was a perfect place for a button. I love the added dimension the button brings.
Our family of stockings is complete!
All that’s left is getting my husband, “Dad”, to hang the shelf they are going on. Keep your fingers crossed that it happens tonight! 🙂

I am going to try to make these stockings. You said that if we needed more info on the letters we could write. I am going to need a step-by-step on the how to use the ultra-bond. Thanks!
Hi Charlyn! 🙂 I’ll get those instructions up probably within this week. Thanks!
These are amazing! I love the colors, the patterns and the meandering is awesome!
