Welcome to YouTube Thursday…one of my favorite days of the week!
Have you heard the news? The news that the most wonderful time of the year has arrived in all it’s red and green glory? Yay! It is wonderful, isn’t it and not to mention full of fun?!? Fun singing Christmas carols, decorating the tree, delivering neighbor gifts AND fun building a snowman followed by a great big snowball fight and playing in the snow!
So now with snow on our minds, what do you say we create our own adorable snowman, but one that doesn’t require wearing snow boots or mittens. All this snowman requires is a little bit of ribbon and a clip or two.
Supplies:
White 3/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
Black 3/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
Black 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
Orange 3/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
Printed 3/8″ or 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon for Scarf
Coordinating Ribbon or Bow for Hat Embellishment
Gem (optional)
Coordinating Lined Clip
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
Lighter
Now, lets go and build a snowmen!
Everyone has their favorite Christmas figure they love to decorate with for the holidays and one of mine is most definitely Snowmen! I love their round tiered shape, their carrot noses and adorable top hats. Their scarves always look so cozy and warm, and their stick arms so friendly! And now, with this adorable ribbon sculpture I love that we can celebrate these fun creatures all year long.
Ribbon sculptures are fun to wear and super fun to make. The sky is the limit with what you can create and making festive sculptures for any holiday or season will add the perfect amount of flair to your holiday attire!
