Start by making a Twisted Boutique Bow with your preferred method.
The Ribbon Retreat now offers The TOTT Hair Bow Instructions for free!
I used the Twisted Boutique Bow instructions and the TOTT Hair Bow Maker in making my bow.

Now cut and seal the ribbons for your ribbon spikes.
For my ribbon spikes I used two 6″ lengths of 1 1/2″ Shocking Pink Solid Grosgrain, one 6″ length of 1 1/2″ Shocking Pink Polka Dots Grosgrain Ribbon, two 6″ lengths of 7/8″ Rose Pink with White Polka Dots Ribbon, two 6″ lengths of 5/8″ White with Black Swiss Dots Ribbon, three 6″ lengths of 3/8″ Shocking Pink Solid Grosgrain Ribbon, three 6″ lengths of 3/8″ Black Solid Grosgrain, plus one 4″length of Black Solid Grosgrain for the clip.

Lay the ribbon spikes in the order you want them.

Thread your needle with black thread and sew through the middle of all the ribbon layers.
Sew back down through the layers and back up again a couple more times.
Fold the ribbon like an accordion and wrap the thread around the ribbon 3 or 4 times.
Knot and tie off in the back.

Glue the Spike Bow to the Twisted Boutique Bow.

Glue a black felt circle to the back of the bow.

Glue the other black felt circle to the ribbon lined clip.

Glue the two felt circles together, with the clip “sandwiched” between them.
The felt circles help stablilize the large bow on the small clip.

Now your adorable Valentine bow is finished!

Try it on your little Valentine Princess and watch her smile from ear to ear!

Try this fun bow with any ribbon and color combination you’d like for a whole new look!
Happy crafting!
