I wanted to make a cute little bow for her sweet little head.
I used Journal Red/White Saddle Stitch Ribbon in 3/8″ to make a Twisted Boutique bow. I did this bow following the by hand instructions.
For the second layer, I used Love Valentine’s Day Ribbon in 3/8″ to make a Twisted Boutique bow.
I lined my clip with the Journal Red/White Saddle Stitch Ribbon in 3/8″. I also used this ribbon for my center knot.
I put it all together to make this cute Little Love Bow. I can’t wait to see it on this sweet newborn baby girl!

I love this one. I am going to try it this weekend. I am going to need a separate room soon for all the ribbon I keep buying. Thank you for all your tips!!
I love the blog and the website! I am quite addicted! I have two questions.
1. What are you susing to adhere the ribbon to the alligator clip?
2. What typ of thread are u using to secure it bow?
~~~Melanie
Hi Melanie! I am using hot glue to adhere the ribbon to the clip and I also use the hot glue to put the bow on the clip. Then I secure it even further by hot gluing the center piece around the clip. The next bow I make, I will take come pictures of the process and hopefully answer any questions you have about it. I always use whatever thread that I have laying around for the bows. Sometimes that is not the best thing to do! I would use stronger thread that is less likely to break.
What length of ribbon did you use for the little love bow? Also on the kiss me bow you made a comment about the bottom layer being one spike long how long is that?
Hi Becky! I used probably about 16″ for the little love bow. I made that one by hand without the bow maker and cut the end after I made it. For the Kiss Me Bow, I don’t have that bow any more, but I think it was about 5″ long. I think I cut about 7″ for the spike and then cut my ribbon ends. I made it to be about a little under than inch on each side from the top layer. I hope this answers your questions! 🙂
