How To Make A Fabric Flower, YouTube Thursdays!

How To Make A Fabric Flower - The Ribbon Retreat BlogHappy Thursday…and welcome back to our fun and FABulous YouTube Thursdays where we share our latest and greatest video from our YouTube Channel!

Since starting this fun weekly event, we have learned how to make some incredibly cute, quick and EASY bows. We have learned how to make a Ruffled Ribbon Flower, Spike Hair Bow, Cluster Flower Headband, three Heart Ribbon Sculptures, and a Flower Loop Hair Bow. All of these bows, headbands, and flowers are gorgeous, stunning, festive…and SO fun to make!

The best part about all of these bows, headbands and flowers…ANYONE and everyone can make these awesome accessories! You don’t have to be a professional bow maker. You can start today by making your very first bow or flower…and you will soon find yourself making bows like a pro!

Our awesome flower today is made from fabric…oooooo, aaaaaa! I love fabric and these bows are a great way to dress up just about anything. The best part…you don’t even need a sewing machine to make them. Fabric and sewing machines typically equal a pair but not today. Put the sewing machine away because this is a no sew bow. Yay!

To make your fun Fabric Flower, you need only a few very simple supplies:
-A Fat Quarter would work perfect!
Felt Circles
Hi-Temp Glue Gun
Clip or Headband
Paper for Pattern

Now with supplies in hand, you are ready to join Shirley and learn how to make this incredibly cute and super easy fabric flower! Enjoy!

Great flower and great fun! If you loved learning how to make this flower, you will also love the rest of our YouTube videos. You can find ALL of our videos on our Ribbon Retreat YouTube Channel…and, so you won’t miss out on any brand new videos, you can subscribe to our channel while you are there and give us a big thumbs up! 🙂

Do you love this flower…then make sure to stop by tomorrow, because we are sharing a Fabric Flower Headband tutorial that is awwwwesome! These flowers are some of my favorite, because you can wear them with anything and use them to add a little splash of color and character to your hair, shirt, bag, scarf and more!

Thanks, Shirley, for the great video! You make it look so easy!♥ A question… can you tell me if when you are placing the folded petals on the felt circle if you keep all of the folded edges facing in the same direction, such as all facing left, like this–|)|)|)|)–or if you place them so that one folded edge touches another folded edge, in pairs, like this–(||)(||)? Thanks! xoxo
