October Link Party

Welcome to our October Link Party!

This month we are celebrating Halloween!

Link up your crafts, whether it’s bows or clothes, anything!
Show us what you’ve made with product from The Ribbon Retreat.

To make things a little more interesting this month, we are trying out the voting feature!
The person with the most votes will receive a…

$50 Gift Certificate

to The Ribbon Retreat!

Share this link party with everyone you know!
Tell them to come on over and vote for your bow or craft.

Rules:

– To win, you must be an email subscriber to The Ribbon Retreat Blog.
(If you’re not, click the “Subscribe Via Email” button on the sidebar.)

– One submission per person.

– Each person (computer) will get two votes.
Just because I know there are going to be so many great submissions,
how can you only choose one!? 🙂

You can submit your links until Wednesday, October 5th, midnight.
Voting will begin the next day and run until Saturday, October 8th at midnight.

That’s it!
(Although, since this is our first Link Party giveaway, I reserve the right to change rules as needed.)

Here is my Halloween bow.

I decided to change things up and do an Inside Out Bow.
It’s definitely funky enough for Halloween!
Is it a good thing or bad thing that I’m imagining this bow with Candy Corn earrings? 🙂

I’ll be posting how I made this bow later today.

Some tips on linking:

If you do not have a blog or website to take photos from, the link system will allow you to add photos from a photo hosting website such as Photobucket or Flickr. Just click the middle tab when the pop up box comes up and add the URL for that photo.

Linking from Facebook will work as long as you take the “s” off of the https:// at the beginning of the link if you have one. Then you will need to choose a photo from your computer (the very right tab in the pop up window.) If it still doesn’t work, try taking off the http:// and just have the address start with the www. Let me know if this isn’t working for you. 🙂

The “Name” part can either be your name, or the name of your craft. Either one works!
I just wanted to let you know so you’re not like me and put your own name when you mean to have a name for the craft. 🙂

After you’ve linked up your craft, make sure your link works. If you are having troubles with it, send me an email at shirley@theribbonretreat.com.

I vote for number 24!!! Trick-or-treat tote! Hooray finally something for a boy. I’m sick of all the girl stuff! No offense to all who have girls, but us with boys have a hard time finding fun festive things! Way to go number 24!!
