Ribbon Dragonfly Magnets

One of my favorite things about visiting a new place is to purchase a magnet signifying that I had been there! I put my new treasured magnet on my fridge and every time I look at the magnet it reminds me of all of the fun that was had while visiting the home of the magnet. Are you a fellow magnet collector? Today, the super cute Kaeleen is sharing a really, REALLY fun and summer inspired magnet that might not remind you of a new place you have visited, but it will remind you of all of the fun you had while basking in the summer rays chasing Dragonflies and other super cute summer critters. This ribbon beauty is so much fun to make and is perfect for holding up important documents or fun summer pics on your fridge to never be forgotten! Enjoy!

Hey there Ribbon Retreaters!
Are you tired of the same ol’ boring magnets on your fridge? Well today you’re in luck, because we are going to give that fridge of yours a little facelift with some cute dragonfly magnets!

You will only need a few things…
-Ribbon (I used two coordinating ribbons per dragonfly)
-Magnets
-Clothes Pins
-Hot Glue
-Buttons
-Wire (optional)

RIbbon or Trim
Now let’s get started!

You will want to paint a quick coat of paint on your clothes pins.
While the pins are drying cut two pieces of each ribbon.

2 – 8 inches
2 – 6½ inches
Put a dab of glue on one end of each ribbon, and attach it to the opposite side so it makes a circle.

Put another dab of glue on the inside of the circles and squeeze it together like shown in the picture.

Take one of the smaller ones and glue it on top of a bigger one.

Do the same thing to the other small and big one.

Now glue the two layers on top of each other – they are now your wings!

If your clothes pin is dry enough, attach your wings.

If you are going to add antennas now is the time!
I cut 2 – 1 inch pieces and twisted one end of each.

Place a dab of glue on the wings and place the wire on it.
