Christmas is just a few days away! Do you have your presents wrapped? Or are you a procrastinator like me? Don’t worry, I’ll be done by Christmas Eve!
The Ribbon Retreat has the cutest ribbon, I just HAD to embellish some gifts with it.
I used packaging paper to wrap my gifts so the ribbon would really stand out.
The best part about using ribbon from The Ribbon Retreat is I can save the bows for the years to come.
Plus if I give the gift to someone outside of my household the ribbon is a gift in itself.
If you’ve already wrapped your Christmas presents, don’t worry!
The Ribbon Retreat has an amazing selection of ribbon for every Holiday, and also really cute Birthday Ribbon! This would be a great way to wrap a gift for ANY occasion! We even have cute ribbon for a Baby Shower!
For this package I wrapped two pieces of 1 1/2″ Holiday Super Hot Traxx Grosgrain Ribbon around my package.
I made a Christmas Package Bow using the same technique as shown previously in this tutorial. (Click on the link if you missed it).
I used 5/8″ Red Cosmic Wired Ribbon for this bow.
I made it bigger than the one in the tutorial because this one is for a package and not to wear.
I also did two layers so it would be very full.
I didn’t count how many loops I added but a lot more than the tutorial. Just eye ball it!
The length of my ribbon for the first layer was about 9″.
The second layer was about 8″.
For this package I wrapped two pieces of 1 1/2″ Christmas Candy Grosgrain Ribbon around the package. I topped it with a HUGE Korker bow.

I used: 3/8″ Red/Green Polka, 3/8″ Apple with White Swiss Dots, 3/8″ Emerald with White Swiss Dots, and 3/8″ Red with White Swiss Dots.
To make this big of a korker I cut the ribbon in half after the ribbon was curled.
I added some Ric Rac to the bow to make it more spunky!
For this package I used 6 pieces of 5/8″ Red Cosmic Wired Ribbon to wrap the package.
The flower was made for my tutorial Simple Fabric flowers. Click on the link to learn how to make it. I had put this flower on a clip so I put the clip right through the packing paper. It is stiff paper so it will stay put.
I hope this gives you some ideas on how to wrap your gifts with ribbon from The Ribbon Retreat. It’s always fun to give a gift, but REALLY fun when it looks extra pretty!
