Rolled Felt Flower, YouTube Thursday - The Ribbon Retreat Blog
I am super excited for today’s video, because as you can tell the project is absolutely ADORABLE! I am 100% in love with this sweet and simple little flower, and I personally can’t wait to watch Shirley demonstrate how to make that little beauty! Projects just like this stunning Rolled Felt Flower are my favorite because they can serve so many purposes. I can see it now…a little bouquet of these sweet things on a headband, clustered together on a broach, one sitting atop a little girl’s piggy tail, or a number of them together on a favorite bag. There are so many ways to display or wear these felt flowers and all of them look absolutely amazing! Embellished with that little pearl or even a shiny gem, these felt flowers are ready to dress up anything and everything!

Are you ready to learn how to make these flowers? Me too!

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to get started making these fun little flowers. The crafting felt that Shirley uses to make these flowers is amazing! It is a relatively new product to The Ribbon Retreat and it is awesome! There are over 35 gorgeous, rich, bright and soft colors that will knock your socks off! This felt can be used in so many different ways from flowers to wreaths and everything in between! You will be amazed at how easy and fun this product is to use and how beautiful all of the colors are! To see all of the wonderful colors, click HERE!

These little flowers, the lovely felt and this video are all so great! I LOOOVE our video tutorials and have so much fun learning right along with Shirley! When I get a little behind or need a little extra practice on a step, I simply skip my video back, as many times as I need until waaaa-laaaa, I have nailed the step or technique!

I’ve always been scared to cut spiral patterns into fabric or paper, but Shirley’s tutorial makes it look easy! Can’t wait to try these adorable little flowers!

TRR’s felt looks wonderful; it seems to be a nice weight and of consistent density–i.e., without those dreaded “thin” spots. And it comes in so many pretty colors, too!

Oh! I almost forgot! I’m *still* without functioning computer speakers, so could you please tell me how large a circle Shirley started out with, and what the diameter the flower is after rolling? Thanks!
