Do you know what I still find amazingly incredible and so super awesome, even after working for The Ribbon Retreat for a number of years? It is that, still today, I continue to be awed with the amazing things that can be done with ribbon and to ribbon to make gorrrrrgeous hair accessories and other fabulous ribbon crafts! I mean seriously, how many beautiful ribbon flowers have we shared, and I continue to be amazed at the amount of wonderful variations of flowers you can make with one piece of ribbon, a needle and some thread! And today’s beautiful ribbon flower is no exception!
In today’s brand new video tutorial, Shirley is showing us how easy it is to make a stunning Satin Ribbon Dahlia with a simple zig-zag running stitch. I can’t wait to share this fabulous and BRAND NEW video with all of you…but honestly, I am super excited to learn for myself how I can make a whole bouquet of these beauties for a sweet adornment on my favorite bag and for my little sweetheart to place in her beautiful blonde curly locks!

Supplies:

1 1/2″ Double Face Satin: 2 – 3 yards
Gem: Fashion Pearl
Felt Circle
Alligator Clip
Needle and Thread
Lighter
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun

Now with our supplies in hand, let’s learn how to make this fantastic flower!

Don’t you love that flower? I can picture a whole bundle of those dahlias in different colors with lots of different bling adorning them, all over the place!     I absolutely love the satin ribbon dahlia! I enjoy wearing lapel pins on my suits, but this is just the thing for spring! Unfortunately my daughter is a little too old for the bow tie headband (but boy would she have loved it – I spent lots of money on similar ones in the stores), but I’ll keep the directions for my granddaughters. I have my fingers crossed. And the Korker is just right to make for party gifts for our annual July 4th party. So glad I found you website!
