Simple Quillow Tutorial - The Ribbon Retreat Blog
My name is Katie and I sew over at ChooChoo Skadoo and I love pillows and quilts. When you put them together you have something AMAZING!!! It’s a quillow. I love quillows and I am so excited to be here with The Ribbon Retreat to show you how to make one. I used the Moda collection Giggles by Me & My Sister Designs.

These are the worst directions for a quillow I have ever seen.

I disagree. A friend asked me to finish 3 quillows her mother had started before she passed away. This is the only one I have found that talks about tying. Thank you.

This quillow directions is the best one I’ve seen! I haven’t made a quillow in 20 years & just needed a refresher.
Other directions were too involved for me, I didn’t want to make a quilt before making the quillow. The material you can buy makes it appear like you’ve quilted it all yourself.
    Thanks Michelle!

Sew easy. Wish I would have seen this long ago. I’m making one now, but it has 46 sports shirts. Its 5’x5′, w/10 on the back.
Thanks for showing the actual pillow part. Much easier to attach like you show instead of making the pillow first. And the layers are super easy.
However I’m not using puffy batting, I’m using a new mattress pad which I will spray baste to avoid any movement or stretching while assembling quilt. Your quillow construction concept was very helpful.🙂
