Snowman Christmas Tree Ornament

Snowmen are my favorite things to decorate with through the winter months and Christmas time. They always have a cheery face and the cutest scarves! My fascination with them started when I was a newlywed and my super amazing hubby and I received the funnest Snowman Cookie Jar as a gift…and I have been hooked ever since. And today, Kaeleen is sharing a super adorable and easy Snowman Christmas Tree Ornament that is fun and one I can’t wait to add to my Snowmen collection! Enjoy!

Tis the Season for Neighbor, Teacher, Friend, and Mail Man gifts!
Today I will be showing you a quick, easy and inexpensive idea! A snowman ornament!

All you need is:
White Bottle Caps (a pack had 10 caps so you can make 3 snowmen)
1/8 inch Ribbon
Ric Rac
Bakers Twine
Hot Glue Gun

White Bottle Caps White 1.8 inch Red Ric Rac Bakers Twine
Snowman
So plug in that hot glue gun and let the fun begin.
Cut a piece of your 1/8 inch ribbon about 12 inches long.
Then you will want to get 3 bottle caps in front of you – face down. Put a line of hot glue on the back of the bottom one.

Quickly before the glue dries loop your ribbon (about 12” long) so the ends are together and attach it to the bottle cap.

Add glue to your middle bottle cap, and place it so it’s touching the bottom bottle cap and attach the ribbon.

Do the same thing for the top bottle cap!
And look you’ve got a snowman!

We all know, no snowman is complete without a scarf or face!
Add a dab of glue to the back ribbon between the middle and top bottle cap.

Place a piece of ric rac or other fun ribbon or string on the glue.

Then flip your little guy over and tie him a cute little scarf. You may need to add a drop of glue on the front too, depending on what type of scarf he has.

Now for his face.
I used a sharpie for his eyes, mouth and buttons and a scrap of orange ribbon for his cute nose.

Now your snowman is complete! …now make a few more and give one to all your friends!
