Hello and welcome to day 2 of our 2nd Blogger Competition! This fun competition is one of my favorite things that we do here at TRR! The talent is crazy, the projects innovative, I am so excited that you are here joining us for all the fun! Today, I get to introduce you to a lovely lady who is so very talented and so very fun…Mandy from Sugar Bee Crafts! Mandy is sharing adorable Spring Gift Jars that are screaming Spring and even Summer! Join me in welcoming Mandy and wishing her good luck in this fabulous competition! Enjoy!
Hi Everyone!! I’m Mandy and I blog at www.SugarBeeCrafts.com where you can find crafts, DIY and more, filled with awesomeness. I’m super excited to be part of the Spring into Spring Challenge here because I love The Ribbon Retreat and I love Blog Craft Competitions, so this is a win-win of fun!
Ode to the theme of Spring into Spring, I put together some Spring Gift Jars, to help give a little Spring into Spring to someone else. Think neighbor gift, teacher gift, basically anyone! They are simple to craft and perfect to give.
I was sent the mystery box of supplies from The Ribbon Retreat with all these goodies:
To embellish the jars I used the flowers and the burlap, but you have creative reign and could use the ribbon and burlap, or ribbon and flowers, or all 3. I cut the burlap to a length that would wrap around the entire jar:
I found the burlap a bit wider than I wanted for the size of jar I was using, so I folded in some pleats. I secured the pleats with a few dabs of hot glue and then wrapped the burlap around the jar and secured it in the back with a bunch of hot glue. I then used the hot glue to attach the flower to the center front of the jar.
The embellishments really make the jars into gifts – so perfect!
I filled the jars with a few gardening supplies – gloves, hoe, and some colorful seed packets.
Just load them in the jars and that’s all there is to it! I love simple and awesome gifts like these, and I love the idea of giving a way to Spring into Spring!
Thank you so so much Mandy for this fun project! It is so cute and so perfect for this time of year!! Good luck to you and thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us today!

I love this!!
Hi Martha! Thank you so much! Have a great day! Michelle 🙂
I love your embellished gift jars and your gardening theme, Mandy! Both are just perfect for spring and summer!
I’m actually happy that the burlap ribbon was too wide for your liking, because the pleats are so adorable–they really “dress up” the jars!
Thank you for sharing your fun project!
Hi Pat! I totally agree with you…the pleats are my favorite part about this whole project. Great minds think alike! LOL! Have a great day and thank you again! Michelle 🙂
