Can you believe it’s August already!? I still feel like summer just started.
Since we are coming to the end of summer, I thought it would be fun to show off all of our summer bows!
We are trying something new called a Link Party.
All you have to do is click the box “Add your link” and fill in the info below.
When you click next, it will allow you to choose the picture you want in your thumbnail.
This picture will be your bow! 🙂
This is a fantastic way to show off your bows!
Every month we will do a link party showing off a themed bow for that month.
Are you excited!? I sure am! 🙂
This months theme is SUMMER BOWS!
Link up your cute bows that have anything to do with summer.
Here is my Flip Flop Bow.
(What techniques I used for it are coming later this week!)
Some tips:
If you do not have a blog or website to take photos from, the link system will allow you to add photos from a photo hosting website such as Photobucket or Flickr. Just click the middle tab when the pop up box comes up and add the URL for that photo.
Linking from Facebook will work as long as you take the “s” off of the https:// at the beginning of the link if you have one. Then you will need to choose a photo from your computer (the very right tab in the pop up window.) Let me know if this isn’t working for you. 🙂
The “Name” part can either be your name, or the name of your bow. Either one works!
I just wanted to let you know so you’re not like me and put your own name when you mean to have a name for the bow. 🙂
After you’ve linked up your bow, make sure your link works. If you are having troubles with it, send me an email at shirley@theribbonretreat.com.
Thanks!

I was already with my Clemson bow and then I saw the “Summer” lol. I love how you did the back side of your flip flop ribbon with the swiss dots. SO much more appealing than the wrong side of the ribbon. Thanks for sharing such a cool idea!
Thanks Sherrie! You are welcome to submit any bow you’ve made this summer. This is definitely not a strict link party. 🙂
I’ll wait. Sure there will be a team or football link party HINT HINT. It is just my newest I “like it bow”.
This is a great idea, It’s always inspiring to see other peoples work. I do not have a website but would like to share too. Is there a way to do that?
Hi Nancy! Yes you can definitely upload a picture. You can do this from a photo site like Flickr or Photobucket. Each picture will have a url you can copy and post to make a thumbnail. If any one would like to do this and you have more questions, email me at shirley@theribbonretreat.com. Thanks!

Thanks for your help. I got it to work on #29. It was my error not yours. Your Facebook linking is just fine. Zebra Girls Bowtique.
Thanks for letting us share our bows!
These are adorable! Maybe I’ll catch the next one….
