Sunday Sneak Peak

My little guy climbed out of his crib a few weeks ago and became a pro at it!

We were so scared that he would hurt himself though, so we graduated him to a big boy bed.

We have the mattress, we bought the bed, and now he just needs a super cute quilt to cuddle with for the rest of his little kid years (and secretly into his teen years, right?) :)

The Ribbon Retreat has this super cute pattern for a quilt.

Buggy Sue and Walter

It is for a crib sized quilt, but I’ve made a few tweaks to make it fit on a twin sized bed.

Another thing I changed was instead of a bug on the quilt, I am doing a train! Oh it looks so great in my head. I hope it turns out! But the characters on this quilt are so cute. I love their little eyes.

The instructions are fairly easy, so someone who hasn’t sewn much, could definitely do this quilt.

The fabric I ordered is so pretty! (Can I say that about a boy quilt?) And I can’t wait to get my order and get started on this little guys quilt!

Child’s Play – Boy by Northcott
Unfortunately, this particular fabric has been discontinued, but The Ribbon Retreat still has lots of other cute fabric from this line that is perfect for little boys.
Check it out!

So there’s your sneak peak!

I’m so excited for this quilt and I hope it’s given you some inspiration too. Maybe next Sunday I can show some progress! I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

I think we could’ve kept him in his crib for a lot longer if we didn’t have #2 coming in a few months. :) There is just something so nice for parents when they sleep in cribs. But he’s done really well! And if you switch your daughter over, you’ll have an excuse to make a cute quilt. :)
