Can you believe the time has come to plan your Thanksgiving dinner, decorations, activities, tablescape and Black Friday shopping route…if, of course, shopping is part of your Thanksgiving traditions. Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday, because it is full of delicious food and desserts and lots of laughter with family and friends around the beautifully decorated Thanksgiving table! Today, the extremely talented and amazing Kim from A Girl and A Glue Gun is showing us how to get our tables ready for all of your Thanksgiving festivities, food and fun! Enjoy!
AH! Hi! It’s kim from a girl and a glue gun! I’m super exited to be here…i love and ADORE The Ribbon Retreat! (I mean what’s not to love! they have everything your little crafting heart would want!)
Today I’m showing you my thanksgiving table….glammed up with fun supplies from The Ribbon Retreat!
Here’s my awesome loot!
It was actually THIS ribbon that started my inspiration! I love the colors. the gold and blue and pink! it totally set the wheels in motion! (do you do that too? one thing that makes everything else fall into place???)
Wrapped this amazing giant ric rac around a spray painted jar for a great centerpiece!
Made some fun napkin rings…I did them two ways…needle and thread and stacked the buttons on….
and then I cut off a strip of a paper towel roll….hot glued on some fun paper and covered that with buttons!
and off course you can just tie some pretty ribbon around the napkins!
I also ran some ribbon down the length of the table…
and then whipped up some fun place cards!
They are just scrapbook paper that comes in 6 inches by 6 inches. Fold in half and embellish with fun Ribbon Retreat supplies!!! I just need to add some names!!!
They are each different but incorporate the same ribbon to tie them all together!
I had some old brown kraft paper that came in a big package…I rolled it on as the tablecloth and threw on some crayons!
I love that kids can decorate the table while they are waiting.
There you go! A whole thanksgiving table that is fun and festive!!! Just add food!
Thank you Kim! I am in love with this fun and festive Thanksgiving Tablescape that is kid friendly too! Kiddos love to be involved in all of the holiday fun and this table will be a hit with grown-ups and all of the olive covered fingers that sit around your Thanksgiving table! The fun part about this project, is that you could easily transform this from a holiday table to a party tablescape fun for birthday parties and other special events!

What clever ideas, Kim! I love the ways in which you used buttons on your place cards and napkin rings. And the jumbo ric rac looks great on the jar; it could also be tied around half of the napkins, using jacquard ribbon for the rest.
Thanks for sharing! xoxo
