Tulle Puff Mouse Ears, YouTube Thursday

Welcome back to YouTube Thursday…the day we celebrate video tutorials and super, SUPER cute hair accessories and crafts!

Tulle Puff Mouse Ears, YouTube Thursday - The Ribbon Retreat Blog
You’ve all heard the famous song that goes something like this…”M-I-C-K-E-Y…M-O-U-S-E, Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse…..” right? Well, let me tell you that after you see today’s adorable project you won’t be able to get that little tune out of your head. From the time I first saw these little puffs of cuteness, I haven’t been able to stop humming that ever popular jingle.

These fun Mickey and Minnie inspired puff bows are so incredibly easy to make and will soon be some of your little girl’s favorite to wear! You also know what would be so cute and fun??? Make a couple smaller versions of these cute bows and turn them into a brooch by hot gluing a brooch pin to the back as opposed to a lined clip, and you have the funnest accessory for you too! So, what do you say we get started?

Supplies:
3″ Spool of Black Tulle (6″ could work too)
Two Loop Tails Down Red/Pink Polka Dot Bow (or Little Bow Tutorial)
Lined Clip
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun

Black Glimmer Tulle Tulle and Ribbon Button Red White Polka
Have so much fun learning to make these fun little puff mouse ears!

Pretty darn cute, right?!? I just love that tulle and ribbon combo. These cute bows are so girly and so perfect for all of those Minnie and Mickey lovin’ girls and moms! I have a Sister-in-Law and some nieces who would absolutely LOVE these adorable little things. They are Mickey and Minnie fans through and through and would love, love, love wearing these as brooch pins or even sitting a top a set of pig tails on their next trip to Disneyland! I can’t wait to make them one or two or ten! Hehe! Thank you Shirley for sharing these awesome little bows today!

What adorable bows, Shirley!!! They are just the cutest Mickey/Minnie hair accessories ever!! And on top of it all, I learned that TRR carries 3-inch tulle, which I didn’t even know existed! Thank you for sharing your ingenious idea.

Since I still don’t have functioning computer speakers, would you mind telling me how many times you wrapped the tulle around your fingers for each bow? (So that we’ll be on the same wavelength, I’m figuring that one wrap covers both the top and bottom of the fingers–i.e., creating a loop.) Thank you!

    xoxo

Hi Pat! Thank you! Aren’t these bows amazing? I absolutely LOVE them! Good news….Shirley has created a written tutorial for these sweet bows, so since your speakers aren’t working…you can read all of the instructions right HERE! Awesome right?!? However, to answer your question Shirley wrapped the tulle around her hand about 15 times. Have a wonderful day Pat and thank you again! Michelle 🙂
