I’m sure you already have your big tree decorated. You probably have all kinds of fun ornaments and decorations on it.
While I love all the fun of a decorated tree I also think simple is elegant and beautiful.
I got this little tree and I wanted to add some color without making it too busy.
All I did was wrap Wired Ribbon around it with a Wired Ribbon bow on the top.
This is one of those things that is so simple it almost doesn’t need explaining.
In case you don’t know how to make a Wired Ribbon bow using the Bow Maker I will explain how.
You will love how easy it is!
First put your Bow Maker at the farthest setting. Wrap the ribbon around the dowels several times. The more times you wrap it around the more loops you will have. When you have the amount of loops you want clip the ribbon to the dowel and cut off the excess.
Take some upholstery thread or wire and wrap it around the center of the ribbon. Tie it in a knot and make sure it is secure.
After the thread or wire is secure in the middle remove the bow from the bow maker.
Pull the loops apart and shape it until you have the look you want.
It will stay where you put it because of the wire.
I wrapped one of the loops of the bow around the top of the tree and it stayed right where it was supposed to.
I wrapped the bigger ribbon around the tree first.
Then I added the sparkly pop of color.
These little trees are fun to use as center pieces, you could also put one in your entry way.
A simple way to add some Christmas cheer to your home!
