Tis the season for celebrating things red and green with sparkly lights and that give off that fabulous pine scent! Yep, it is Christmas Tree time. I remember LOVING to get the Christmas tree all ready for it’s big debut and finally being able to shut off all of the lights in the living room and sitting in front of it while in total awe, staring at the lovely display of lights, tinsel and shiny ornaments.
Christmas trees are everywhere this time of year! Whether in front of your window, in the corner of your living room, or as a cute craft displayed on your end table, Christmas trees have made their way into our homes bringing lots of holiday cheer!
Today, I am so excited to share a quick and super easy Christmas tree craft that is adorable!
All you need is a couple of yards of fun Pom Pom Trim, a scrap piece of ribbon, and a couple of styrofoam trees (I found my trees at Wal-Mart for super cheap)…oh, and you might want to plug in your hot glue gun, because you are doing to need a couple of dabs of hot glue!
This fun project is perfect to add to your holiday decor or to give as a fabulous and festive gift to a family member, friend, co-worker or to your kiddo’s sweet teacher!
The hardest part of this project is picking out your Pom Pom Trim but once you have that decided on, all you are going to do is wrap, hot glue and wrap some more.
You can start at either end of your styrofoam tree. Put a small dab of glue on one end of your tree. Put one end of your trim on the hot glue and hold until dry and secure.
Start wrapping trim around tree, adding a dab or line of hot glue every 1/2″ to 1″ all the way around the styrofoam tree.
Continuing wrapping until your tree is completely covered in those adorable Pom Poms.
Cut and secure end to tree.
You can also add some Pom Pom Fringe as ornaments if you would like! You can totally personalize these fun trees to your taste and to match your current Christmas decor.
You can leave your tree as is, or you can add a little extra embellishment. I added a simple bow to the top of my tree for a tree topper. You could add a button, resin, or a cute star as well.
Have fun with your trees and make a whole forest of them in different colors of adorable Pom Pom trim and fringe!
Hope you love these festive trees! They are fabulous and so fun to make!
